PARENTING

Tools For Your Toolbox

Parenting can be difficult, even in the best of situations. Sometimes it helps  to have an outside perspective and some fresh ideas on how to handle  age-old concerns such as potty training, teaching children about money, or discipline.  When your child has  a disability or emotional difficulties, parenting support is almost always  needed. Whether you just need a new tool or two, or a whole new toolbox, the clinicians at The Conative Group can help.

General Parenting Sessions

Individual parent education sessions are available by appointment. Sometimes just one visit is all that is needed. Other times a multi-visit plan in most helpful.  An initial evaluation will determine what types of  services are best.

Parenting Children with ADHD

Parents of children with ADHD often face challenges with managing issues at home, school, and in the community. Whether you have questions about treatment options for your child, or want help managing specific situations or behaviors, parent education can help. Individual sessions are available, as well as parent groups

Parenting Children with High-Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism is a developmental disorder, which means that symptoms and skills change along with your child. Children and teenagers with Asperger's-type ASD face special challenges, which means their parents do, too.  Help is available through individual parenting sessions and parent groups
