Welcome!
I believe in your potential to heal, change the way you think, and live an overall happier and more balanced life. I aim to help you grow in confidence, self-awareness, and balance and to help you in developing healthy coping skills, self-exploration, re-orienting the way you think, and setting healthy boundaries.
I have worked with children from age two to adults in late life. However, my specialization and experience lies with children and adolescents. My areas of concentration include general anxiety, social anxiety, physical impairment, self-esteem issues, stress management, trauma, and grief. I have experience working in several elementaries, a pre-elementary, a high school, a juvenile recovery residence, and a first responders clinic.
Through elementary school counseling, I have led many groups founded on Social-emotional Learning. These groups focus on relevant issues in the lives of teens and youths, such as cyberbullying, self-esteem issues, communicating with parents, adjusting to changes, test anxiety, and so on. Other kinds of groups involved topics such as grief and healing relationships.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s degree in the Science of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas in Downtown Houston.
I am so excited to guide you on your voyage to a better life!
